Sex with Alpha men? Why women cheat!

The percentage of men who never reproduced throughout human history is a topic of considerable interest and has been studied using genetic data. According to various sources, it’s estimated that around 40% of men have reproduced compared to about 80% of women. This implies that approximately 60% of men did not reproduce.

If 80% of women reproduced with 40% of men and the ratio of male to female was largely 50/50 then one will have to ask how many of the men were polygynous? At a ratio of 2 women to one man, every man who reproduced could technically have two wives. We know, however, that isn’t the case. It is more likely that 20% of the men who did reproduce had mutiple women.

Why is this important in evolution? Women are naturally geared to select the best men to mate with because it ensures the upward trajectory of the species ability to survive new diseases and genetic challenges. From the moment a man ejaculates it a race for survival. There are 300 million sperms competing in a brutal swimming competition to reach the egg of the woman. One of them will typically make it, unless it’s a tie in which case she’ll have twins.

This competition for survival didn’t start with ejaculating inside her. It started when she selected you to ejaculate inside her. She chose, what she thinks is, the best option. That is you. She could have had several hundreds of other men ejaculate inside her, just like 300 million compete to reach the egg. Enforced monogamy is not only detremental to morality, it is also detremental to the species. A woman’s desire to sleep with the best possibile mate should not be impeded by the man’s marital status. She should sleep with the best possible mate in her estimate regardless of the fact that his married. If women must be honest, it doesn’t really matter that much to them that a guy is in a relationship when they’ve decided that they want him. After all, infidelity isn’t a onesided affair. It exists by design and now you know why!
